Special Investigations Division

 The Special Investigations Unit was developed to handle specialized complex investigation and prosecutions as directed by Kym Worthy, the Wayne County Prosecuting Attorney. This division includes the Conviction Integrity Unit, which was developed to address issues related to the closure of the Detroit Police Crime lab.

UNITS

The mission of the Conviction Integrity Unit is to ensure that justice is served by determining that all forensic evidence utilized by the Wayne County Prosecutor’s Office was and is accurate and reliable.
