Wayne County HealthChoice - Resources
BasiCare 
BasiCare is a HealthChoice program that provides limited medical benefits on an outpatient basis for those individuals who are in transition and have no other health coverage. If you are laid off, low income without health coverage or waiting for permanent medical coverage to begin, this program is for you!
Enrollment for this program is open to Wayne County residents between the ages of 18-64 years old.
- Basic Coverage - Covered services include annual physical exams, diagnostic and treatment services for a $3 co-pay.
- Lab and X-Ray - Covered only if ordered by a physician for diagnostic and treatment purposes. Prior authorization is required.
- Pharmaceutical - Coverage is limited. It includes $5 generic and $10 brand-name drug co-pays.
- Urgent Care - Requires authorization by a plan administrator for coverage. Co-pay $5 per visit.
