Hello, I am Wayne County Clerk Cathy M. Garrett!

As your Wayne County Clerk, I have consistently worked hard to deliver friendly and convenient services to the hardworking residents of Wayne County, MI.

My office is directly responsible for the issuance of birth, death, marriage, and CCW licenses, as well as assumed business names and notary applications.

Because I am the Clerk of the largest Circuit Court in the State of Michigan, my office is also responsible for maintaining the court records for three areas of the Third Judicial Circuit Court, including civil, criminal, and family (and juvenile) cases. I am also responsible for various elections held throughout Wayne County for federal, state and county offices.

In an ongoing effort to make obtaining my office's services more convenient for Wayne County residents, I have successfully launched TWO Satellite Offices in Wayne County - the Western Wayne Office in Westland, MI and the Northville Township Office in Northville, MI. These locations, as well as our main downtown office, expertly work to service your personal and business needs.
